Corporate Profile There has to be a better way to do this! How many times have you said that to yourself while performing a task? The idea for the TimberMark™ technology grew from that exact thought process. We believed in this idea so strongly that we eventually formed the company MaineMark Inc. to design and build the TimberMark™ system. Based in Bangor, Maine, MaineMark Inc. is a developmental company that was formed in 1999. MaineMark owns the patented technology that forms the basis of the TimberMark™ system. In addition, MaineMark Inc. is the exclusive distributing agent for all paint sprayed thru TimberMark™. The custom formulation of latex paint utilized by TimberMark™ is produced by the Nelson Paint Company, and exceeds all government environmental regulations and guidelines. The system development is in its ninth year with each generation improving on the last (you will see some of the different generations in the video and pictures available through our download page).
In 2003, TimberMark™ was utilized on a number of projects including pre-commercial thinning layout, tornado damaged timber boundary marking, hunting club boundary marking, harvest boundary marking, military base firing range delineation, and noxious species layout. Since that time, we have worked with the United States Forestry Service, the Bureau of Land Management, and various other military and civil agencies. Pricing is dependant upon the size and scope of the job and is priced by the linear foot.
